The Yitzhak Rabin Center for Israel Studies (the “Center” or “We“) welcomes the users of its website (the “Website“). Below are the terms and conditions relating to the privacy policy applied on our Website:
1. Introduction
The Center attaches great importance to protecting the privacy of the Website’s users. This Privacy Policy is intended to detail how personal information of Website users is collected, stored, used, and disclosed, in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981, including Amendment No. 13 (hereinafter: the “Law“). Use of the Website constitutes consent to this privacy policy. If you do not agree to it, please refrain from using the Website. This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the Website’s Terms of Use and Regulations, and any expression appearing in this Privacy Policy shall have the same meaning as defined in said Terms of Use and Regulations. The provisions of this Privacy Policy apply equally to all genders, and the use of the masculine third-person singular is for convenience only.
2. Types of Information Collected
During the use of the Website, the Center may collect the following types of information:
- Information provided at the user’s initiative: Contact details (name, email, telephone), details provided in registration forms for events, for the purchase of tickets, or for joining the newsletter. It is clarified that upon joining the Center’s mailing list (including during ticket orders – subject to your express consent), you will be required to provide personal information, including but not limited to, your full name, telephone number, date of birth, email address, and billing information (as applicable). Fields that are mandatory will be explicitly marked.
- Technical-Analytical Information: Certain information regarding your computer, through which you visit and perform actions on the Website. This information is collected automatically (including through the use of “Cookies” and standard monitoring tools) and may include IP addresses, browsing data, browser type, operating system, browsing and entry times to the Website, viewed pages, the manner of browsing and the device used for browsing, details regarding your internet service provider, and the addresses of websites from which you arrived.
- Financial Information: Payment details during the purchase of tickets or products, which are processed solely through authorized clearing providers.
3. Information Related to Educational Activity with Children and Youth
Within the framework of educational activities conducted by the Center, whether on the Website or as part of collaborations with educational institutions, additional information may be collected, such as:
- Student’s name, grade, and educational institution.
- Parent/guardian details for participation approvals.
- Educational preferences or information provided by the student as part of the activity (e.g., creative works or experiential feedback). The information is collected and processed solely for the purpose of conducting the educational activity and is not transferred to third parties unless express consent has been given by the parent/guardian or the educational institution.
4. Information Concerning Minors
The Center does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18 without the approval and consent of a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian is entitled at any time to review the information and demand its correction or deletion.
The types of information detailed in this Section 2 above shall be collectively referred to as: “Information Collected on the Website.” The information collected on the Website will be used by the Center, inter alia, for the optimal operation of the Website, for maintaining high quality and service levels, and for general statistics regarding the use of the Website.
5. Purposes of Using the Information Collected on the Website
The Center will use personal information for the following purposes only:

- If you violate the Website’s Terms of Use and Regulations or if you perform through the Website, or in any connection with the Website, actions contrary to or appearing to be contrary to the law, or any attempt to perform such actions.
- Furthermore, the Center may transfer to third party’s general statistical information only, which is not personal or private, regarding the use of the Website, such as the total number of visitors to this Website and each page of the Website, as well as the domain names of the visitors’ internet service providers.
- In addition, use is made of third-party tools, such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, for analysis, measurement, and targeted advertising purposes.
7. Data Security
The Center implements reasonable data security measures in accordance with legal requirements, including technological protection measures and organizational procedures, to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and limited accessibility of the information to authorized employees only. Data security measures include:
- Restricting access to personal information to authorized employees only.
- Use of technological means such as encryption, supervision, and control.
- Internal data security procedures and periodic audits. However, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized intrusion into the information. Furthermore, the Center and/or anyone on its behalf cannot secure information transmitted to it by a user via email until that email reaches the Center’s website, as it is not subject to the same protection measures installed on the Website itself. It is important to remember that 100% protection against hostile and determined activity by foreign parties cannot be guaranteed; therefore, there is no absolute security in these actions, and the Center does not undertake that the services on the Website will be absolutely immune to unauthorized access to the information collected therein.
8. User Rights
In accordance with the provisions of the Law, every person has the right to:
- Review of Information: To receive a copy of the personal information stored about them in the Center’s databases.
- Correction of Information: To request the correction or deletion of information that is incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or outdated.
- Limitation of Use: To request the cessation of the use of information for direct marketing purposes.

The Center reserves the right to change this policy from time to time, at its discretion and subject to the provisions of the Law.
